Драги народе Божији,

Са радошћу дочекујемо још један велики празник - БОГОЈАВЉЕЊЕ. То је празник који, попут свих великих празника обогаћује наш живот истинским вриједностима. Као и сваки други празник, сабирамо се у Цркви, ту примамо благослов и дарове празника, а онда их разносимо у свијет, обогаћујући и њега.

Као и претходних година, и ове године организујемо пливање за Часни Крст.

++Важна напомена:

Празник Богојављења почиње након службе на Крстовдан, који ове године пада у недељу, и траје до понедељка 26. јануара. Довољно је погледати у црквени календар. То што је један дан обиљежен црвеним словом, не значи да је празник само тог дана. Напротив, празник се богослужбено прославља сваког наредног дана до 26. јануара, кад се тзв. “оданијем” од њега опраштамо.

Тако пливање за Часни Крст може да буде сваког дана празника.

На крају крајева свака слава наших храмова се увијек помјера за наредни викенд.++

Молимо вас да позив прослиједите вашим ближњим и пријатељима. Тако ћемо нашу богату традицију представити и онима који су изван наше вјерске и националне заједнице.

Dear brothers and sisters,

With joy we welcome another great feast — Theophany (Epiphany). Like all great feasts, it enriches our lives with true values. As with every feast, we gather in the Church, where we receive the blessing and the gifts of the feast, and then carry them out into the world, enriching it as well.

Important note:

++The Feast of Theophany begins after the service on the Eve of Theophany (Krstovdan), which this year falls on Sunday, and lasts until Monday, January 26. It is enough to consult the church calendar. The fact that one day is marked in red does not mean that the feast is celebrated only on that day. On the contrary, the feast is liturgically celebrated on each subsequent day until January 26, when we bid it farewell with the so-called “apodosis” of the feast.

Thus, the Swimming for the Honorable Cross may take place on any day during the feast.

After all, the patronal feast (slava) of our churches is always moved to the following weekend.++
